The partnership between Pelinia and Butuceni villages is one of those 15 established partnerships, involved in the Access to Success project, that benefited from a series of study sessions, activities and financial support in order to implement infrastructure interventions, that will improve the relations among the communities on the both sides of Dniester.

October welcomed many new initiatives, implemented within the LEADER approach in the Republic of Moldova. On October 11th, we’ve visited one of the initiatives, where, in the Gymnasium of Malaiesti, Orhei district, within the USAID LEADER Activity project, there was celebrated the acquisition of new sports inventory by the institution with 170 sports items.

The Urban Revitalisation reached Ukraine: The Moldovan cities shared their experience within the Adaptive Reuse Forum in Kharkiv

On October 11th and 12th, the Urban Revitalisation team, represented by a few cities involved in the process, have participated in the international event Adaptive Reuse Forum in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The goal of the event was to promote the adaptive reuse concept as a development source for culture, sustainable cities and economy in Ukraine, based on the international experience.

A new day brings us again to Dolna village, as we visit the beehive workshop organized in the framework of a project, which is supposed to modernize these houses of bees. “My name is Vasile Porubin and I live here, in Dolna. I have more than 30 years of experience in the beekeeping domain”, tells us one of Sergiu Agafita’s project colleagues. Mr. Agafita is the leader of a small beekeepers community of five villages in the “Plaiul Codrilor” microregion.

Mihai Chitaica, “Serpentina Nistrului” LAG: I managed to train the children to achieve high performances

Here’s a new history about a project destined to develop a healthy community and, we believe, to accustom children to a healthy lifestyle. We’re talking about the project “Safe tourism and sports activities” of the “Serpetina Nistrului” Local Action Group, whose direct beneficiary is Mihai Chitaica, from Varnita village, Anenii-Noi district, while the non-direct ones are the children of his kayak-canoe club, a nautical sports activity, practiced on small lightweight boats. “I’m the club’s trainer, where this specific sports is practiced“, says Mr. Chitaica.
